Nearly finished with the viola parts for the upcoming show with Liuh-Wen Ting. Writing for harpsichord has been extremely challenging, but I’m quite enjoying it. For research I have been listening to a Buxtehude recording that I have which has two harpsichords. I really love harpsichord music. At best it has such a magical sound, a bit like a calliope. Anyway, hopefully I’ll be doing a performance in NY by the end of the month, if early next month. Keep checking the site for dates!
OH! Was served a nice surprise from google alerts today! I’m not sure if you all know the work of Franco Dragone. He’s an exceptionally imaginative theatre director from Belgium who directed many of Cirque du Soleil best productions and other really visionary shows. A talented photographer from his team, Mehdy Nasser, contacted me a few months ago and we met not too long ago and spoke about possibly doing some work together, which of course would be a fantastic experience for me. Anyway, again, got this from a google alert, which made me pretty derned happy! (Medhy took the shot of me in NYC.)
BTW, you should take a look at his site from the home page, if you have a fast internet connection. It’s a really well done site!
